First Community Media Festival Winners Take Home Trophies

Ottawa (Nov. 25) Five winners took home trophies in eight categories at Canada's first Community Multimedia Festival last night.

Since the Community Media Festival was held as part of the Community Media Convergence, a three-day event at Carleton University celebrating community media on all platforms (TV, radio, online and gaming), the categories emphasized the values and goals at the heart of community media rather than technical characteristics or genres. Community Media Convergence Ramps Up to Welcome Visitors to Ottawa

Community Media Policy Working Group Submits Report and Values Statement to CRTC Review of Community TV
